Frequently Asked Questions
How are your Group Training Classes different from classes at other fitness clubs ?
Our group classes at Millcroft Fitness & Wellness are very different from many "aerobic" style classes you will find at other larger clubs. Our classes are all taught by certified personal trainers, certified yoga/pilates instructors and/or certified indoor cycling instructors who are all very well trained in proper movement mechanics and program design to ensure you get results quickly and safely. Also, our class size is smaller than most fitness clubs so our trainers can monitor technique better. You will also find that our group training sessions are more focused on function, performance and results versus fancy footwork. They are all results oriented.
Can I use the cardio equipment and indoor cycling bikes before or after my personal training session ?
Yes, that is what our cardio equipment is for. Your trainer will instruct you with how long and how hard they would like you to exercise either before or after your private training session.
Can I use the cardio equipment prior to or after a group training session ?
Personal training clients do have priority with our cardio equipment, however, if a piece of equipment is available and there is not a group class going on, feel free. Please do ask one of our trainers to show you how the equipment is used safely and effectively.
Why do you recommend attending an Intro to Indoor Cycling class ?
Although you may attend any of our Indoor Cycling classes, we recommend newcomers to Indoor Cycling to attend at least one Intro to Indoor Cycling class which are always complimentary. In this Intro class, you will be shown how to properly set your bike up for proper fit. A proper bike fit is very important in order to maximize results and minimize your risk for injury. You will learn how high to set up your seat and where to set your handlebars based on your height, leg length and torso length and how to ride safely and effectively.
Should I bring my own yoga/pilates mat to group sessions ?
Bringing your own yoga mat is encouraged for hygienic reasons, however, we do have plenty and you are more than welcome to borrow one of ours.
Are showers available after a workout ?
Absolutely. We have two beautiful washrooms complete with showers available for your use.
Should I bring a towel for my workout ?
We provide towels for all indoor cycling classes and personal training sessions. |
